I am severely annoyed. Hacked off. Pissed. Ticked.
And why you ask?

Because of a new movie they have made based on one of my favorite book series - Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising.
Why am I angry and not happy that the series I have always felt would make a great movie is being made into said movie? Because I am afraid they have screwed it up royally. Go watch the trailer here


After watching the trailer again, I am almost certain they've screwed it up. That is NOT how Will Stanton is supposed to act. He is a quiet child. He is mature. He's a grown up. He doesn't take his power nor his responsibility lightly.

1. Jessica Tandy - I know she's dead, but she had such an undeniable grace!
2. Joan Cusack - Probably because she plays characters I relate to... I dunno, I just like her. :)
3. Jena Malone - She's so dadgum cute. I dunno, I just like her.

1. Johnny Depp - He's hot, and an extremely good actor. SRSLY!
2. Hugh Laurie - He's british, he's sexy, and a good actor. Rly!
3. Simon Pegg/Nick Frost - They have to get double billing, because I don't believe that they would be as good starring without the other.

Ever go back and read what you wrote and realize how lame you are? 'Cause I totally just did.

I have got to get remotivated for school. I have quit doing my DAD notes every evening like I used to. And we have a test on Wednesday. Apparently I am in no way prepared for it. I suppose I shall be cramming like... like a student who crams before an exam. That evokes the proper picture.

On a "happier" note, we're making lollipops in lab on Tue. I have also "re"-discovered Bruddah Iz. If you've not heard any of his stuff (and if you've seen the rice krispies commercial or heard the "Somewhere over the Rainbow" at the end of 50 First Dates, then you've heard his stuff!) then I do highly recommend it.

I do hereby vow to do better in school. Ha! But, no seriously. I am unplugging the TV in my room. There, I just did it. Ok.

Uhm, nothing more to say.

I can't concentrate.

... and I even like Immunology. Boo for me.

On a totally unrelated note, my eye is kinda swollen. But the Kashi whole grains cereal stuff is pretty good.

The weekends are totally the worse time to be in Auburn.

Personal notes to self. Pay rent tomorrow. What else was I supposed to do? Oh, prep lab notes and prepare for lab quiz and also management quiz. Dance like a kitty cat, and daydream the possibilities?

Nothing I write makes much sense, but then neither does my brain.

I wish I were prettier, but I should care/try more. But the only time I really try is when I'm am going to see my fiancee.

Eh, I'm just down tonight. Because it's the weekend.
